Cedar Park, TX Mon–Fri 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Accepting New Patients

Georgetown families who come to Cedar Park usually come for one of two reasons: a pediatrician they can keep from infancy through the teen years, or a child's sleep problem that needs a doctor trained in pediatric sleep medicine. If you are looking for a pediatrician in Georgetown, TX, here is what the trip and the visits look like.

Two ways in from Georgetown

  • From downtown and south Georgetown: west on SH 29 (University Ave), then RM 2243 (Leander Road) to Ronald W. Reagan Blvd, then south to the office. About 13 miles and 20 minutes without traffic.
  • From northwest Georgetown: Ronald W. Reagan Blvd runs south from the 78633 area, across SH 29 and through Leander, to the office in Cedar Park. About 20 miles and 25 minutes on one road.
  • Address: 14300 Ronald W. Reagan Blvd, Unit 405, Cedar Park, TX 78641. Map and directions.

These times are without traffic; allow extra at rush hour. When you book, ask for a time that fits the drive and the school day.

Sports physicals for Georgetown ISD athletes

Georgetown ISD campuses give athletes a specific physical form and say other forms aren't accepted under UIL rules. East View High School's athletic trainers' page, for example, asks for a physical dated after April 30, 2026 for the 2026–27 school year, submitted through Rank One or emailed to the trainer. Check your own campus page, then:

  • print the campus form and fill in the medical history with your child;
  • book after the date your campus sets, and before practice starts;
  • bring glasses or contacts and a list of past injuries, including any concussion.

We can do the sports physical at the yearly well-child visit, which also covers growth, development and the vaccines Texas schools require. One appointment means one drive.

When the sleep clinic is the reason to come

Dr. Patel is board-certified in sleep medicine as well as pediatrics. For Georgetown families that matters most when a child:

  • snores most nights, or a parent has seen pauses in breathing;
  • is very hard to wake, falls asleep in class, or has a teen sleep schedule that no longer fits school;
  • has behavior or attention concerns where poor sleep may be part of the picture, as in an ADHD evaluation.

The same doctor can examine your child, order a sleep study if one is needed, and go over the results with you. Read more on seeing a pediatric sleep doctor.

Sick visits and after-hours care

Same-day sick visits are by appointment; call (512) 931-1575 at 8:30 AM for the widest choice of times. For an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room; in Georgetown, St. David's Georgetown Hospital on Scenic Drive has a 24-hour emergency department. Some follow-ups can be done by telemedicine to save the drive.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about pediatric care answered by Dr. Patel.

How long is the drive from Georgetown?

About 20 minutes from downtown Georgetown without traffic, west on SH 29 and RM 2243 (Leander Road), then south on Ronald W. Reagan Blvd. From northwest Georgetown it is about 25 minutes, staying on Ronald W. Reagan Blvd the whole way.

Do you fill out the Georgetown ISD athletic physical form?

Yes. Georgetown ISD athletic trainers hand out the physical form their campus accepts, and some campuses want it dated after a set spring date to count for the coming school year. Bring that exact form to the visit; it is then uploaded to Rank One or given to the athletic trainer.

Is it worth driving from Georgetown for a child's sleep problem?

Often, yes. Dr. Patel is board-certified in both pediatrics and sleep medicine, so snoring, restless sleep or daytime sleepiness can be evaluated, and a sleep study arranged, by the same doctor who knows your child's general health.

Where should we go for an emergency in Georgetown?

Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. St. David's Georgetown Hospital on Scenic Drive has a 24-hour emergency department. Don't drive to our office for an emergency.
